The Montague Family God Protect December 13, 2013

A LIGHT THAT SHINED OVER THE WORLD HAS WHISTLED AWAY, God protect you John. Thank you for your life in this world...We appreciate it! Now, we shall let John rest and let the Efite's remember John as an angel that guides them from now on. He watches you over and tells you not do things and let you follow this...Amen

Jaws of Death: Gate of Heaven.

Ebubs, the most beautiful and blissful moments of your life are hurled inevitably into the past as you transit to the depth of the earth to the permanence of eternity to meet the bridegroom of our souls, to praise Him with the saints forever and ever, AMEN. YOU KNOW! YOU LOVE LIFE!

To us left behind, Ebubs you entered into manifold and deep relations with us. Now all this is ruptured by your sudden death as it slays entirely all we shared.    You lifted the hearts of many and stirred within your friends’ great happiness - your ever broad smiles and dancing steps amongst others contain messages - the promise of eternity. ''YOU SHALL NOT DIE!'' ''YOU SHALL LIVE!''

Ebubs, by your death, we are depressed, overwhelmed in a somewhat fearful way amidst the immensity of the universe and all the countless galaxies. We can never escape from the cage of death. Even this awareness of immotality does not remove the dread of death, does not neutralize its sting. The frightfulness of seperation remains; an empty loneliness gapes at me. Death neither includes nor depends on our free cooperation: we undergo death, it dominate us. Once it has occurred, there is no way to reverse it. However, allaying this fear, I do keep the faith knowing that “wonders are many, but none is more wonderful than man” not even death in its naïve natural aspect. JOHN ETONGE EFITE (EBUBU, NDUTU, JACK), will live forever in our memories. A wonderful and rare specie is asleep.

LOVE, GOODNESS AND BEAUTY PROMISE US IMMOTALITY, THESE YOU KNEW.  R.I.P Pal!

Mbuamonoke To all ASOBEXIANS and class mates of Ebubu (80-81) May 19, 2012

Fellow classmates, it is with a sad mind to believe that Efite John Etongo too has joined the tray of the departed mates.

It all started far back with Mabolaji Bola Idowu who waved the way to Mokake Kenneth Epi. It was just the start of a solitary movement which we did not take seriously. Wansuke Innocent Chucku then followed, it didn't take much time Nganele Robert Bakina also answered the call. Etah Ndoh Emmanuel could not hesitate the line as well as Akuli Valantine. The journey was like a kind of reality. There was a short break and the storm was on again when Numji Osenge Abosi followed. The call again caught up with Cheyip Protus Nasa. Ooh the number was increasing and shocking as well. The brutal news loomed again when Njofor Jonathan Che followed. The list was going to fast and the pill was getting so bitter to digest. Assam Ebot Alfred the brave boy could not stand the cold thick hands as he too followed his fellow classmates. Was it enough? oh no Ndikum Christoper Tchumulo too joined the wagon. For me i thought we,ve had enough of it, not until the giant fell by name Efite John Etongo alias Ebubu.

None of all these mates where privilage to enjoy the golden age of (50). The memories are so sad but it should be for memory sake. Ebubu, ''Sanga Madiwa Meyangadu'' remember to prepare a place for me, but not so soon.

                       Adieu Adieu

Arrah Chellis In loving memory of John Ebubu. May 9, 2012

The light of life is a finite flame.
Like the Sabbath candles, life is kindled.
It burns, it glows, it radiates warmth and beauty,
but then it fades and is no more. Yet we must not despair.
We are more than a memory vanishing in the darkness. With our lives we give life.
Something of us can never die; we move in the eternal cycle of darkness and death, of light and life.
memory candle
The memorial light we now kindle is a sign of this truth.
As it burns pure and bright, so may the memory of
our dearly beloved John Ebubu brighten and purify our lives.
